today video is Airtel, Vi, Jio, BSNL Will Now Offer 30-Days Validity Plans: TRAI Order.

let's go to the video.

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) said on Thursday (27th January 2022) that cellular service providers must provide 30-day prepaid mobile recharge plans. This change has been made to save customers money by reducing the number of recharges that customers have to do in a year.

Currently, telecom companies offer prepaid recharge plans with 28-day validity, resulting in 13 monthly recharges each year for users. In a notice, TRAI stated that “any telecom service provider should offer at least one plan voucher, one special tariff voucher, and one combo voucher with a thirty-day validity.”

Furthermore, telecom providers have been given 60 days from the date of notification of the guidelines to comply with the decision. According to a recent study from the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), the country’s telecoms subscriber base increased slightly to 1.19 billion by the end of November 2021, with Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel boosting their user bases.

What does this mean for users?

If you believe that the TRAI’s recent order would force telcos to update all of their 28-day prepaid plans to 30-day plans, you are incorrect. This, however, may not be the case. The government has mandated that carriers supply at least one recharge plan, one special rate voucher, and one 30-day combo voucher. In addition, carriers must issue at least one plan voucher, one special tariff voucher, and one combination voucher, all of which must be renewed on the same day each month. Users will have a better understanding of the recharge as a result of this shift.
