REGISTRY TIPS
1. Ask for a book instead of a card (usually around the same price)
2. Registering for gift cards is totally appropriate
3. I loved being able to register at any store for the lowest price of what I wanted on www.myregistry.com (sort of like a registry pinterest!)
REGISTRY LIST
CLOTHING:
For the following sizes- NB, 3 mo, 6 mo, 9 mo, 12 mo- register for 5 onesies/tops, 5 bottoms, 3-5 long sleeve/sweater options, & 5 zip up sleepers/PJs
sunhat, snow hat, newborn cap and scratch mittens (3 pairs), 0-6 mo and 6-12 mo socks (10 pairs), shoes/booties, snowsuit, swimsuit (long sleeves)
DIAPERING:
jumbo pack of diapers in NB, size 1, and size 2, and jumbo box of sensitive wipes, desitin, diaper bag, optional: diaper pail/bags (we ended up not using ours and now take them all outside straight to the trash)
FURNITURE:
crib, crib mattress, dresser that doubles as changing table, changing pad, wipeable changing pad cover, rocker/glider chair, reading lamp/dim lamp, hamper, black out curtains
HEALTH + FIRST AID:
light-up nail clippers, nail files, nose sucker, thermometer (we like a forehead one), soft hairbrush, gum brush and toothbrush, baby toothpaste, baby medicine- tylenol, teething tablets, saline spray, gas relief drops, congestion/cold/cough syrup, dreft or dye-free detergent
TRAVEL GEAR:
car seat, car seat base, jogging/heavy-duty stroller, $20 pop up/collapsible stroller, pop up crib, 3-5 blankets OPTIONAL: depending on your lifestyle, a baby carrier/sling/back carrier (might be better to wait until baby arrives and test them out, and use your gift cards on)
FEEDING:
highchair (with removable tray- easy to clean), 3-5 microwave safe bowls + plates, spoons/utensils, travel screw on spoons (for food pouches), plastic bibs with pockets, travel food containers (take and toss), burp clothes (10+)
IF YOU CHOOSE TO BREASTFEED:
Bamboobies nipple balm, breast pads, nursing bras/tanks/gowns, electric breast pump (if not covered by your insurance), milk storage kit (with bottles AND freezer bags), cooler and ice packs
BREASTFEEDING/BOTTLE FEEDING:
Bottles & nipples (we used munchkin latch), cleaning brush, drying rack (i love the boon grass with twigs + flowers), bottle warmer, formula or supplemental formula (if breastfeeding too), travel containers for formula, OPTIONAL: nursing pillow + cover
SAFETY:
baby gates, corner covers, outlet covers, cupboard latches, video baby monitor
SLEEPING:
white noise machine, night light, dehumidifier, mattress pads (2), sheets (3), OPTIONAL: swaddles/wearable blankets
TOYS:
colorful rings, balls, stackable blocks/boxes, rattles, kick + play piano gym
BATHING:
bath tub (fisher price my little lamb), hooded towels (5), wash clothes (5), baby shampoo, baby wash, baby lotion (lavender scent), bath tub toys + letters OPTIONAL: water temp thermometer, knee pad mat
OTHER OPTIONAL ITEMS:
Bassinet/Sleeping Nest (if you plan on co-sleeping and won't have the crib in your master bedroom)
Mobile (we could only use ours for a few months before Landon started sitting up and pulling it down)
