Wix Wordpress Blog Import Issues
As a Wix Designer I am finally importing a real client WP blog website over from Wordpress to Wix, but unfortunately I am running into many bugs/issues with the import:
1. FEATURED IMAGE:
The featured Cover Image isn’t showing up in the imported blog posts (the first image of each post), even though these Cover Images are showing up in the post settings, it is also turned on, but they don't show up in the posts.
2. BLOG IMAGES’ SEO + CAPTIONS MISSING:
All the images came through as generic filenames (file1.jpg, etc) instead of their original WP filenames that had keywords in them for easy ID. Also, in the posts themselves, none of the Image Alt Text or Titles/Captions came over. Not to mention there is no option for readers to click to open the blog images and galleries in a larger popup window for full screen view, which is a missing feature.
3. INSTAGRAM EMBEDDING:
The Instagram Feed/Posts that she has embedded in many of her posts isn't coming through. I tried inserting fresh post embed code using the HTML widget but then it just shows the code in the post. Is it possible to embed instagram embed codes in the new Wix blog?
Are there any solutions to these issues? I'm afraid the Wordpress blog import to the new Wix Blog is far from being problem-free, but I'm hoping this video can help the Wix team to troubleshoot and work to fix some of these issues.
