Here is how to defeat (In Co-Op Mode) the Wolf of the North (Boreas) | Great Wolf King of the North
The Wolf of the North Challenge, also known as Lupus Boreas, Dominator of Wolves, is a Weekly Boss found in Wolvendom, Mondstadt. In battle, his enemy name appears as "Andrius, Dominator of Wolves."
Players can test their skills against Andrius after completing Act I of Razor's Story Quest, The Meaning of Lupical.
Attacks and Abilities
Phase 1
Wolf Leap: Andrius jumps into the air and leaps toward the ice circle that appears on the ground.
Wolf Charge: After charging for a while, Andrius will quickly dash towards you, leaving an ice trail in his wake.
Wolf Slash: Andrius raises his front legs and slashes towards his front.
Tail Sweep:
Melee: Andrius raises his hind legs and sweeps his tail quickly.
Ranged: Andrius raises his hind legs and sweeps his tail quickly while shooting small icicles towards you.
Spinning Slash: Andrius creates circular ice surfaces around him before spinning quickly (The actual range of slash is wider in front of him than behind him).
This move is an Unblockable attack as it cannot be iframe from perfect dodging
Interlude Phase
Andrius runs in a circle around the map, and will Wolf Charge towards you when he stops (twice). Next, he circles the arena once again, then Wolf Leaps to the middle of the arena, either continuing Phase 1 or entering Phase 2.
Trigger 1: About 50% of HP left.
Trigger 2: When you take too long to fight him, he would enter his Interlude Phase regardless of his current HP.
Phase 2
Any abilities from Phase 1 included
Icicle Storm: Andrius charges for a while and summons icicles that fall from the sky. The edge of the arena will be covered in an icy floor and deal Cryo damage if stood in.
Wolf King Roar: Andrius charges for a while and then roars, dealing continuous chip damage in a huge AoE around him.
Ice Waves: Andrius raises up his front legs while creating an ice path in front of him, then releases ice waves on the path.
Wind Blades: Andrius raise up his front legs, then summons 3 vertical wind blades in a 60-degree forward arc.
Small Phantom Wolf: Andrius summons a small phantom wolf to attack you (low dmg).
Trigger: When his HP falls below 20%.
Strategy
Do not bring Anemo or Cryo characters to this fight, and avoid characters that frequently apply wet to the team (Barbara being the prime example here). He is immune to the first two elements and giving your character the Wet status effect with Hydro abilities could easily get the character frozen from Andrius' Cryo attacks. However, if you have a decent shielding character, such as Zhongli or Noelle, you will no longer need to worry about Barbara's elemental skill, Let the Show Begin. This is true for every other character in the game, and you will be able to play freely without caution. As the old saying goes, The best offence is a good defence!
Bow users can use a charged attack to stop his charge early. Be aware that as Andrius moves around quite a lot, it will be hard to use the charged shot actively; and most bow users do not have enough survivability to last the entire fight excluding Venti, Tartaglia, and Fischl. Out of those three, only Fischl is ideal as subdps to support you during his final phase; and unfortunately, Andrius deals too much damage at high world levels to safely use bow characters. Alter your lineup accordingly. Childe, however, is special and can be treated as both a Sword and Bow character. As with all bow characters, their overall usefulness is prevalent directly to your overall skill with bows; so think seriously about whether or not you want to bring them.
Many of his attacks could be dodged by utilizing I-frames on your character's dash or sidestepping the AoE.
When you attack his hind legs, he would reposition himself to face you. This could be potentially used to permanently reposition him, therefore denying him of any 'attack' sequence. Do note that this is hard to do consistently, requires immense skill, and as such should not be relied on as a strategy; as Andrius's AI can be volatile. During his final phase, this will not work either; as he is pinned to the middle of the arena and deals high AOE damage.
