In early 1945, there were battles for the liberation of Hungary from the Nazis. In 2013-14 I managed to go twice to the village of Lovashbereni (hungar. Lovasberény), where the Soviet military field hospital and the fraternal grave were located, in which, according to official figures, 580 Soviet soldiers rest. Among them is my relative. According to documented memories of the fighters, in the spring of 1945 there were battles for the nearest city of Szekesfehervarr and said that this city is easier to take again than to learn its name. Those who took it and went on, after a few months were already in Austria and liberated Vienna. The victims, among them many 19 and 20-year-old boys, forever remained in Hungary.
