Knowing the right keyboard shortcuts can help you make your visions a reality in Adobe Premiere Pro. Shortcut keys work on a panel-by-panel basis. The keys that you activate while the timeline is active can be the exact same keys that you use when the Project Panel or Source Monitor is active. There are tons of tools that do not have keyboard shortcuts assigned to them by default. Fortunately, however, you can use the information contained in this video to build out your own menu with the keyboard shortcuts you use the most.
In this video from OWC, Brian goes over six quintessential Premiere Pro keyboard tricks. The first shortcut we will show you is called “Close Gap.” It does not come assigned to any keyboard shortcuts by default, but have no fear; we're going to teach you how to add it to your home menu. We’ll also teach you how to make fast revisions to your editing sequences, use “Match Frame,” how to edit your video clips with “Overwrite Edit,” and more! Check out this video in its entirety to find shortcuts to add more ease to your daily video production workflow.
