Here is a quick review of the Leatherman Curl! I'm not even sure how or why but I didn't know about this tool until yesterday. Apparently it came out sometime during the COVID era.
And the moment I laid my eyes on it I immediately bought it.
It's the Leatherman Wave with only the good stuff! All the fat removed!!!!
I always felt the Leatherman Wave was just a bit too bulky. But what I did like about the Leatherman Wave was its pliers, its knife (but I only wanted one, didn't want the serrated blade) and its bit driver. I'd argue that the side tools, ie scissors, flathead etc are bested by my Victorinox Rambler. And the pliers bested by a Knipex XS. And the bit driver bested by a Topeak driver +1/4 inch bits.
But the selling point of the Leatherman Wave is that it's in one tool in times when you don't know what's going to happen and you just need 1 clunk of metal that can do it all - adequately - until you can get to a point you can reach your primary tools. And in that aspect I'm a fan of the Leatherman Curl. Because it contains all the great things about the Leatherman Wave without the fat.
