Audio drift is a super annoying issue that happens to many of us who use an external sound recorder. You won't notice this with shorter videos but for longer videos it becomes more noticeable, here is a technical explanation that I cut out the video for those who just want to get straight to the point :

It's pretty normal for some semi-pro audio recorders and cameras (and computers for that matter) to run very slightly off speed. Normally this would never be noticed. These are controlled by quartz crystals (the clock) that are accurate to about 2 to 20 parts per million and can even change somewhat with temperature. Since there are 180,000 frames in an hour (30 fps) you can see how an error of 10 parts per million (± .001%) would put things out of sync about two frames per hour. High end equipment has much more accurate speed control.
