Lake Balaton, or "Hungarian Sea" as it is called in Hungary, is the largest freshwater lake in all of Central Europe, located in the western part of Hungary on the Middle Danube Plain, just 100 km from the capital, Budapest. Lake Balaton abounds with healing springs and is considered a popular center for family and children's recreation.
