In this video, I demo how I create a simple beat using the ROLI Songmaker Kit and GarageBand on your Mac. The Songmaker Kit and GarageBand are now fully integrated and you can record, playback your tunes, control volumes of tracks, control effects - all from the Loop Block and Lightpad Block. The ROLI Songmaker Kit comes with a Seaboard Block, a Lightpad Block, and a Loop Block. Along with GarageBand on your Mac, it is everything you need to start making music! I show you how to record a drum beat with the Lightpad Block, record a bass line with a GarageBand bass guitar, chords with Roli’s Equator software instrument, and a melody with GarageBand synthesizer. All sounds are included with the Songmaker Kit and GarageBand. I show you step by step, how to use the Loop Block to record, repeat a section, adjust volumes of tracks, and parameters of the instruments.
