A daily wager's daughter to the CEO of a billion-dollar company Jyothi Reddy rose against the odds to script an incredible success story.

The second of five children, Jyothi was sent to an orphanage by her father
who hoped it would provide her with a better life.

She studied at a govt. school in Warangal but had to drop out after class 10 due to poverty.

Forced to marry at 16, she had two daughters by 18.

She worked in the fields during the day, and as a tailor at night, but the meagre earnings were just not enough.

Finally, she stood up to her family and decided to complete her education.

Earning a BA degree from an open university, Jyothi got a job as a teacher.

She continued to hustle to build a better life for her daughters.

Selling saris on trains alongside her job, she saved money to learn computer skills and complete her post-graduation.

With a cousin's help, she got a job offer in the USA

Working as a babysitter and salesgirl in California, she started saving again – this time, for her own startup.

In 2021, with savings of $40,000, she started her own business, Key Software Solutions.

Today, it is a billion-dollar company and has more than 100 employees!

As for the self-made entrepreneur, she only has one message for women:
“No situation is permanent. Be the master of your own fate.”
