Updates and upgrades are part of what makes any operating system fadeless and desirable to use. Most Linux, Windows, ChromeOS, and macOS users look forward to this duo.
Ubuntu is one favorite distribution of most Linux users, and users would want to have an Ubuntu with the latest software, user interface, and technology.
Whatever release of Ubuntu you have, Long-term Support (LTS) or Interim, you usually should receive an alert when an upgrade is available. Before you click the upgrade option on the prompt, remember to run: sudo apt update
sudo apt upgrade.
Also, it is safer to keep your computer connected to the power source and click upgrade to start the process.
You will be required to restart your computer for the upgrade to complete.
If you didn't get prompted that an upgrade is available, you should run, sudo do-release-upgrade -c and press enter. If a new upgrade is available, it will show on the terminal with the command you need to run to start the upgrade.
Please, spare some of your time to see a demo of how to upgrade Ubuntu to the latest LTS release. You are welcome to share more hints in the comment, share, like, and subscribe, please. Thank you for your trust and your time.
