Unlock the full potential of your Qualtrics surveys by embedding multimedia content from other websites or file sharing services directly into your questionnaires! This detailed tutorial walks you through the process of incorporating audio clips and videos from various sources into your surveys, enhancing respondent engagement and enriching your data collection process.
Whether you're a researcher, educator, or marketer, this video will provide you with the tools and techniques needed to make your surveys more interactive and visually appealing. You'll learn how to seamlessly integrate sound clips and video links, ensuring a smooth experience for your respondents and improving the overall quality of your survey responses.
We'll cover:
The basics of embedding audio and video in Qualtrics
Step-by-step instructions on adding multimedia from external sources
Actual examples of both that you can use as practice
For videos you can use sites like YouTube, Vimeo, and others. Typically, these video hosting sites make it really easy. Basically, just upload a video and for the most part, there will be an embed link that lets you easily share
your video in your Qualtrics survey.
Audio files are overall a little easier. Some sites do have an embed button to share audio files as well, but just writing the HTML to embed it into your survey is pretty easy too. I use MP3 and WAV files in the video, but other formats are supported as well. If you have any issues with other formats, let me know in the comments and I will be happy to help. I recommend using Google drive to host an audio file, but if it's blocked at work for you (like it is for me), you can always try GitHub like I show in the video. GitHub is NOT necessarily a file hosting service, but if all else fails, it will work. One of the main reasons I used it in the video is because it's a site that often isn't blocked at work.
Please note that you can also upload multimedia into Qualtrics and link that way, however, I find that by having the ability to link to external sound and video files that I have a bit more control. Therefore, this is the approach I prefer.
Thanks for subscribing, liking, and commenting. These all help the YouTube algorithm give my videos greater exposure.
