The new 911 GT3 RS is an unbelievable achievement. In just ten years, Porsche has shaved eight seconds off the Nurburgring lap time set by the 918 Spyder Hypercar, in a 911 with just over half the power and two less driven wheels. Using every aerodynamic, chassis, and lightweighting trick they can conjure, Porsche has built one of the most unbelievable track-focused roadgoing Porsche's of all time - but it comes at a cost. Is it worth what will end up being $300,000+ for a GT3 RS versus a pure trackday racing car? Is it really what you want for a car mostly driven on the street? Matt hits the track at the Thermal Club to find out!
Porsche provided the vehicle, track time, b-roll, a photo, and lunch for this review.
Shout out to Tangent Vector for the high-quality on-track shots and beautiful b-roll.
