Okeechobee Hurricane.mov
This movie shows a physics-based computer simulation of the 1928 Okeechobee/Palm Beach Hurricane. As the hurricane passed over Lake Okeechobee, storm surge drowned some 3000 people. This was the second worst natural disaster in U.S. history, as measured by fatalities, yet the story is not well known outside of south Florida.
