[BLACKVUE X IGNITIS ON] Emotions
BlackVue sponsored the Ignitis On: Pažink Lietuvą! (“Ignitis ON: Discover Lithuania”) electric vehicle race for the second consecutive year.
All participating vehicles were equiped with BlackVue dashcams and the organizers and the public were able to follow the cars using BlackVue Cloud.
All they needed to do was download the BlackVue App for iOS or Android or visit blackvuecloud.com and access the World Map View.
The ninth edition of the race started from Vilnius, Lithuania and finished in the port city of Klaipėda.
The opening ceremony was held on June 2 at 9 AM EEST (Eastern European Summer Time), and the race started around 10 AM.
The 2023 event introduced several new firsts.
Ignitis ON, the title sponsor of the event, is also the largest fast-charging network for electric vehicles in Lithuania. This year, an official race opening ceremony was held at the Ministry of Economics and Innovations with welcome speeches from Transport, Economics and Innovations, Energy Viceministers, and the Vilnius Mayor.
For the first time, the race started from the main Vilnius street (Gedimino).
For the first time, the race featured electric trucks.
Although it started from the Lithuanian capital as usual, this year’s finish line was at a new location. The vehicles drove from Lithuania’s capital city Vilnius to the port city of Klaipėda (the main port of Lithuania), where all drivers had the possibility to test electric boats. Klaipėda was the first city in Lithuania to introduce electric bus routes as well as electric boat services.
