At Betty Irene Moore Children’s Heart Center, our pediatric cardiac teams have cared for children from around the globe suffering from heart conditions—from simple to the most complex. Our young heart patients benefit from advanced care, multidisciplinary research, and groundbreaking innovations. Some of our care highlights include performing more pulmonary artery reconstruction procedures than any other pediatric cardiac program in the world, being one of the top three programs in the United States in the number of ventricular assist devices implanted for severe heart failure, performing the world's first successful pediatric heart transplant and the most in California. And we accomplished these milestones with great results.
