This series is a simple guide series for all beginners for the basics in Minecraft.
In the first part we go thru the fundamentals for default materials and tools. Finding wood, stone and coal, using the right tools and building the first shelter before night time are the most important steps to start with.
You can almost skip the last step, shelter making. Or at least you get thru it much faster if you see fit: simply make a small cave in some naturally formed wall and cover the entrance with any material block. After that you can focus on mining the inner area and finding new minerals. But I prefer having a house at some nice place.
