Git and Github Walkthrough Tutorial | Everything You Need to Know

When it comes to web development, knowing how to use Git and Github is crucial to your coding journey. For one, Github is where your online portfolio of projects will be for recruiters and hiring managers to see your old projects, and it's also how engineering teams can have multiple engineers working on the same software without clashing with one another.

So, it's important that you learn how to use Git to save your work and interact with Github. In this video tutorial, I'm going to walk you through the basics of Git and the normal flow of Git and Github that you'll be doing the majority of your time as an engineer.

Keep in mind, there are more advanced tasks you'll use Git for, but for the most part, the task I'll be demonstrating in this video makes up the majority of tasks that you do.

If you're on a Windows laptop, use Git Bash.
