Vimeo Live - You're Just Too Expensive
A chat about the recently launched Vimeo Live streaming service and its arguably hefty price tag. I also make a recommendation of a 'Plus Live' account for small businesses or single users.
In my view, the crazy pricing of the new Vimeo Live service (at time of production) automatically puts it out of reach of many users. Maybe they are intentionally trying to move into the corporate and enterprise market with Vimeo Live and play along side corporate hosting companies like Wistia.
It's a shame because, Vimeo is a great service and I can imagine that much of the community on Vimeo, which is largely what it's still based around, will want to be part of the streaming side too.
What do you think? Is it good to filter out the riff raff like me in this way with higher pricing or would you like to see some extra priceplans?
