SpaceX is set to launch a Falcon 9 rocket on Saturday, September 2 at 7:26 a.m. PT (14:26 UTC) for SDA's Second Tranche 0 Mission from Space Launch Complex 4E (SLC-4E) at Vandenberg Space Force Base in California. The rocket will carry the Space Development Agency’s (SDA) second Tranche 0 mission to low-Earth orbit. The mission will deploy a constellation of 13 satellites that will be part of SDA’s Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture, a new layered network of satellites in low-Earth orbit that will provide global military communication and missile warning, indication, and tracking capabilities.

The Falcon 9 first stage booster supporting this mission has previously been used to launch the Sentinel-6 Michael Freilich, DART, Transporter-7, Iridium OneWeb, and eight Starlink missions. After the first stage separates from the second stage, it will land on Landing Zone 4 (LZ-4) at Vandenberg Space Force Base.

A live webcast of the launch will begin about 15 minutes prior to liftoff. You can watch the webcast on SpaceX’s YouTube channel or on the Space Development Agency’s website.
