CHILDE'S ABYSSAL CORRUPTION | Backstory | Genshin Lore and Theory
At its core, this is a Childe backstory video. However, Childe's backstory can be summarized in about 4 sentences - where he gets interesting is when you read between the lines, so this is also very much a theory video saying: Childe is corrupted by the abyss and unknowingly acting as an agent for their cause.
Childe is one of my favorite Genshin characters because of his complex composition. Rather than some random unrelated facts to give him a "twist," his different facets (masks, if you will, teehee) are all well-justified and interact with each other to create a full person. Mihoyo did a wonderful job putting him together and you can feel the love his designers have for him.
