On September 21st, 2015, at Convocation, North America’s largest weekly gathering of Christian students, the cast and creators of the new film Woodlawn spoke to students. Actor Sean Astin spoke to students about the importance of representing well the peace-loving God we serve and the importance of connecting our words with our actions.
Woodlawn is an upcoming Christian film about the desegregation of Woodlawn High School in Birmingham, Alabama in 1973. Sean Astin is a film and television star best known for his role as Samwise Gamgee in The Lord of the Rings trilogy, Mikey Walsh in The Goonies, and the title character of Rudy.
