Revit Tips & Tricks: Area Reinforcing
When you go to create your boundary you get the option to select "Rebar Line" or "Major Direction". Select Major Direction then you only need to draw one line to specify the major direction and the area reinforcing tool will use your slab boundary as its own boundary.
