The rectangle is a parallelogram with four right angles and is made from two pairs of parallel sides. All rectangles are also parallelograms, but not all parallelograms are rectangles.
By the way, parallelograms are quadrilateral with opposite sides parallel. We will talk more about parallelograms in our next video.
Before we discuss the formulas in solving the perimeter and area of a rectangle, let’s discuss first some parts of the rectangle.
The two longest sides of the rectangle are called the length. And the other two sides are called the width.
