This build is using the mana strike ability as it's main attack and then triggering a multitude of on hit effects in order to create a pile of spark charges and spells casted all of which deal considerable lightning damage. This allows for the build to pile on damage and scale easier with damage increases and it will naturally increase the damage multiplicatively because it will be scaling every spell cast instead of just a single spell.
