On this week's episode of Gear Review, we're checking out the Digital Foto Ares Z Axis Spring Dual Handle. Crazy long name, so we'll call it the Ares Z Axis for short!
The Z Axis not only functions as a dual handle system that you can add to ANY gimbal, but it also has a spring system that operates as a 4th axis and absorbs the gimbal operator's footsteps. This helps reduce that unwanted vertical vibration you sometimes see in your gimbal footage.
Digital Foto claims that the Ares Z Axis will cut down on the vertical vibration in your image by 30%. So in this review, we take the handle out and put those claims to test!
