Bolivia - a country with a rich history and culture, currently facing serious economic problems. Located in the heart of South America, it is home to diverse cultures and stunning natural resources, from the Uyuni salt flats to the ancient ruins of Tiahuanaco. Bolivia is also fortunate with resources; it has some of the largest reserves of lithium, gold, silver, gas, oil, tin, tungsten, iron, amethysts, and much more in the world. It was in Bolivia that the communist terrorist Ernesto Che Guevara was killed, who came there to stage another socialist revolution.
However, behind this beauty and natural wealth lie deep economic problems. The country faces a high level of poverty: 36% of Bolivia's population lives below the poverty line. And an unstable economy that depends on commodity prices. About 16% of children in Bolivia suffer from chronic malnutrition. So what is happening to such a resource-rich country, what is the cause of the economic and political collapses of recent years?
