How to Pose Couples | 5 Easy Tips for Posing Couples
In today’s video I’ll be sharing my top 5 easy tips for posing couples that you can easily apply in your engagement and wedding day sessions. This entire session is photographed in Cameron Highlands, one of the biggest tea plantation estates in Malaysia, utilizing only natural light. As for gears, I was shooting on the Sony A7III paired with the Sony 35mm 1.4GM, which Sony Malaysia has graciously sent to us for our review. Another lens that I've also used in this session was the Sony ZA 55mm 1.8.
Before we begin, let’s get real about posing in general. It does not come naturally to everyone and even professional models have to go through years of training to nail it. But we don’t have years with our clients, we have a couple of hours, if not a whole day to get acquainted with them and understand their chemistry, and on top of that we need to ease them into the process without making them feel completely self-conscious. It sounds like a lot of work and some of you might wonder, where do I even begin if this was my first time photographing a couple? And if you're a professional, could there be a more systematic way to run this type of session? This is where these 5 tips come into play today, so without further ado, let's jump straight in!
