CERT vs CSIRT vs SOC: https://searchsecurity.techtarget.com...
CERT, CSIRT, SOC -- they all sound similar, and might seem similar too. Watch to learn how these cybersecurity terms differ from each other.
A CERT, or Computer Emergency Response Team, and CSIRT, or Computer Security Incident Response team, are the IT professionals responsible for preventing, detecting, and responding to cyber security incidents. A SOC, or Security Operations Center, on the other hand, is the facility responsible for monitoring and protecting technology.
For the best security posture, organizations should use a combination of the three.
