Hi there! Nice to see you again 🥰 I am sorry I have been gone for so long. I was struggling with a bit of a moral dilemma around my channel and the unhealthy standards around productivity I could potentially be contributing to. I have thought a lot about my own (sometimes toxic) relation to productivity and where this relation stems from. This video is I guess sort of a short overview of these reflections I had during these past months. I talk about meritocracy, precarity, and uncertainty and why I think these things have led us to the point where we feel like we constantly need to do more and more. Of course, whole books could be written (and have been written) about these topics, but I hope you enjoy my two cents on them 😉

🌟 About A Life of Learning
Are you a student or recent graduate struggling to find out what exactly to do with this thing called life?
Well, me too, but hopefully we can figure it out together ❤️🙃
My name is Jaël and I am a 23-year-old master's student Educational Sciences from the Netherlands. A Life of Learning is a community of young people passionate about learning and self-development. The idea for this channel came from one simple question: how can one live a good and impactful life, while also enjoying the ride and staying happy, healthy, and sane in the process? Or in other words: how to be your best self, but then not in the capitalist productivity=everything kind of way?
Drawing from my knowledge as an educational scientist to-be, as well as my own experiences as a young person striving to be the best I can be, I create videos on topics such as study tips, organization tips, mental health, and occasionally the meaning of life. So that hopefully we can figure out this thing called life together.
