This app makes installing GNOME extensions so much easier. Extension Manager lets you search and install best GNOME extensions to customize your desktop without needing to use or open a web browser or do it manually.

One tool to rule them all, one tool to find them all. Extension Manager is a native tool for browsing, installing, and managing (including uninstalling) extensions written with GTK4 and libadwaita created by Matthew Jakeman.

That's a good news, especially for Ubuntu 21.10 and Snap users. You know, Canonical ships Mozilla Firefox Snap on latest relase (and maybe upcoming Ubuntu 22.04 LTS Jammy Jellyfish which is coming with GNOME 42 as its default desktop environment).

A web browser installed as a Snap can't talk to the chrome-gnome-shell connector. If you attempt to enable and use the integration, you'll end-up with a "native host connector not detected" warning.

ERROR FIXING
Well, everthing seems to be okay. The program runs quite well. But the truth is I've got nothing happens after clicking the install button on my very first attemp. The Terminal output :

** (extension-manager:2): CRITICAL **: 01:00:47.977: GDBus.Error:org.gtk.GDBus.UnmappedGError.Quark._g_2dio_2derror_2dquark.Code36: GDBus.Error:org.gnome.Shell.DownloadInfoError: 6

6 is SOUP_STATUS_SSL_FAILED (please correct me if I'm wrong). This can be fixed easily by following the workaround as shown the video, well... at least on my Ubuntu 20.04 LTS Focal Fossa.

I hope this helps you to fix can't install GNOME shell extensions, won't install from website extensions.gnome.org, even you have installed gnome-tweaks, gnome-shell-extensions, and chrome-gnome-shell.

TRANSLATION
Extension Manager has been translated into several different languages. Ideally, it'll respect your system language. However, you may need additional steps to make flatpak recognise your chosen locale.

Set the languages you wish to use explicitly, let say en for English andes for Español (optionally add --user if installed in a user prefix) :

flatpak config --set languages 'en;es'
flatpak update
