Angela Rayner furious as Commons explodes over Jeremy Hunt's brutal Council house attack
Chancellor Jeremy Hunt savaged Angela Rayner (Labour) as he cracked jokes about a council house row she is embroiled in.
The deputy Labour leader is facing questions over her living arrangements before selling the property in Greater Manchester in 2015 and if she should have been liable for capital gains tax. She denies any wrongdoing.
As he delivered his Budget today, the Chancellor said he would abolish the furnished holiday lettings regime.
He said: "I have also been looking at the stamp duty relief for people who purchase more than one dwelling in a single transaction, known as multiple dwellings relief.
"I see the deputy leader of the Labour Party paying close attention given her multiple dwellings."
