Safe way to eject stuck CD from crashed Macbook
If you have a MacBook that has crashed or has no Mac OS on it and it has a CD stuck in the drive, it can be hard to eject because some Macs allow you to eject only after the Mac OS has loaded. With this method you can eject the CD without loading Mac OS. Just hold the mouse button when you power it on. Don't try any other tool like pliers or credit cards unless you absolutely have to. Even though it will get the CD out, it can damage your optical drive permanently.
