Apple's MacBook Pro Keyboard Replacement Won't Fix Your Laptop
In 2015 Apple introduced a completely redesigned MacBook, with a full size, but super thin keyboard. This keyboard utilized an all new mechanism dubbed by apple as a butterfly switch.
This keyboard style was adopted by the MacBook Pro line the following year and continues to this day.
In late 2017 complaints started appearing online about the keyboards having numerous problems, everything from unresponsive keys to keys getting stuck causing repeating characters.
