The Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra is arguably the best Android smartphone of 2021, which makes you wonder why I would give up on it, right? My initial thoughts and impressions on the S21 Ultra were very positive and I really enjoyed the phone, especially the Snapdragon 888, the S Pen, the 120hz refresh rate and all that jazz... but one thing killed it for me. The S21 Ultra Battery Life was terrible. The S21 Ultra Battery life started out really good and then within two weeks the software update from Samsung ruined in and it never recovered. I did an S21 Ultra Battery Test several times after that and no improvement. Well one year later and now that the S21 Ultra has OneUI 4, Android 12, I'm going to take it for another spin so I can do a S21 Ultra 1 year later review, as we draw near to the one year anniversary and the upcoming release of the S22 and S22 Ultra.
