Summer Stall Out: tips for creating large scenes in Blender and adding personality to your artwork
A few times a year I’m tasked with creating an artwork that advertises a sale on the Blender Market. I love it because it’s an entirely different challenge than usual, since with CG Cookie tutorials I try not to use any assets or addons. The usual technical ‘how do I make this’ question gets replaced with the more creative ‘what should I make in the first place?’ I’m going to show you how I put together this summer's render and some tips and tricks I learned along the way, but first I want to cover something important that very few tutorials talk about, which is how to communicate something that matters to you through the language of design.
