In the colorful video, Evergreen Tales reads "RAIN" from "The Peter Patter Book of Rhymes", a book by Leroy F. Blanche, published in 1918 by Rand McNally and Company.
The humorous poem starts with Pastor Brown addressing his congregation one wet Sunday. He has the congregation's full attention as he tells of Noah and his ark, especially since it is presented to the backdrop of pouring rain. Pastor Brown's sermon got the congregation moving and before long they were dressed in their raincoats, ready to go outside and build their own boats.
RAIN
The lightning split the sky in two
And set the clouds to leaking
Just as dear old Pastor Brown
Began his Sunday speaking.
He told about the awful rain
That fell in Noah’s day,
And one by one the happy smiles
Began to fade away.
In half an hour the people all
Put on their rubber coats,
And when he finished everyone
Was out and building boats.
