How to setup Netgear Genie on your home Wi Fi network ?

Netgear products include a variety of hi-tech devices which consist of wireless or wired devices for broadband and network connectivity. Netgear products are easy to use and place. Recently, Netgear has launched the Netgear genie application which helps a lot in managing and monitoring our home wifi network with a one click. Netgear provides a free Android and iOS mobile app.

The things which we could control with the use of Netgear genie are:

Password protected app.
Control your home network from your Smartphone or tablet.
Easily monitor the network.

Download the Genie App for your Android or iOS mobile devices. If already downloaded the app, you can update the previous version.

How to setup the Netgear genie for your home Wi-Fi network?

Note: If you have setup your Netgear extender then, you can use the same login credentials for logging onto the Netgear Genie application.

To create a Netgear account using the Genie mobile app:
Connect to the router’s wifi network with your mobile device.
Launch the Genie mobile app.
Tap the CREATE NETGEAR ACCOUNT button.
Fill up the account registration page displayed.
Complete the account registration fields by filling up relevant information, agree to the terms and conditions and tap the NEXT button.
Email will be sent to you for the verification and authentication.
Follow the instructions given on the verification email by Netgear.
After finishing the verification, we can open the Netgear application and monitor our wifi network.
Your Netgear account is activated.
Login to router using the Netgear Genie mobile application:

Connect your mobile device to the router’s wifi network.
Launch the Genie mobile app.
Tap the SIGN IN button.
Note: if you don’t have a Netgear account, create an account.

Enter your Netgear account details and tap the SIGN IN button.
Enter your router’s admin password and tap the login button.
