Import CAD models into SolidWorks with FormatWorks
Wide range of formats is supported including formats not included in SolidWorks as native CATIA V4 and CATIA V5. If your work requires compatibility with MBD (Modal Base Definition) data you can access annotation, GD&T and PMI info directly from native formats as CATIA, UGX and Pro/E. FormatWorks will import 3D CAD models better than SolidWorks, even for neutral formats like IGES and STEP. Automatic repair and diagnostics tools combined with pre-view/select function minimise amount of data ensuring high data quality. Imported models are easily converted into workable and editable solids in SW.
