I've seen this error way too many times and I've always taken the long way around. Sometimes the VERY long way around. Tonight I decided it's time to stop, do the research and figure out the quickest and best way to the finish line. Next time you see "Key is stored in legacy trusted.gpg keyring (/etc/apt/trusted.gpg), see the DEPRECATION section in apt-key(8) for details" reach for this video :-) Bash script in description that solves 2/3rd's of the problem.
