I report on Aslantepe (Arslantepe) in eastern Anatolia, Turkey. It dates back to the Chalcolithic Period (3000BC-5000BC) but the Hittite ruins at the top of the mound are the best known. The supposed oldest palace and some of the oldest swords ever found were located at this site.
