RIST - The protocol for Reliable Internet Stream Transport
This video describes the basics of RIST, the Reliable Internet Stream Transport protocol being developed by the VSF. Using RIST, high-performance video streams can be delivered reliably over IP networks, even with packet loss approaching 50 percent. This open, non-proprietary specification has been implemented by a number of companies, including Cobalt Digital, VideoFlow, Qvidium, Net Insight (Nimbra platform), Open Broadcast Systems and Zixi.
