Tarkov's Best Budget Weapon - Vepr Hunter Builds, Scopes, Ammo and Modding!

Today we'll be taking a look at the Vepr Hunter, which I believe is the best budget weapon for new and intermediate players.

The reason why I think it is the best weapon for beginners is firstly the cheap but effective ammunition, starting at M80 which can be bought from Peacekeeper level 2. Secondly, creating Hunter builds and modding in general is very straightforward, giving us just what we need without adding anything else that would make the weapon an expensive choice. It comes with the ability to mount to TT01 for easy red dot attachment, as well as the ability to add scopes using the dovetail mount.

Found consistently on scavs, the price on the flea market is often around 30k rubles which is extremely good value for a gun that takes such effective ammo at such an early point in the game.

There are now a few other options that we can use including the hunter suppressor which was added in a recent patch and also the new SVD style stock which helps a little bit with recoil and ergonomics. All in all, the hunter is the perfect budget weapon to take into your raids and stay competitive, even when faced with high level armor! Ultimately, this is why I believe that it is one of the best guns for beginners in EFT!
