Do you just love Twitch chat? Do you want to add a bit of Twitch to your in-game chat? Well if you answered yes to either of those questions, today's Spotlight may just be the addon for you! Two enterprising players, Ren and Jons (with help from Sheno, Life, and Anergius), have written an addon that allows you to add Twitch emotes to game chat. Check out Twitch Emotes AddOn.

This addon, which is nearing 2M downloads (!), does exactly what it says on the packet:
It replaces text with emotes commonly found on Twitch & Discord which can make for some fun interactions. Simply type peepoHappy and peepoHappy will be in your chat, no Kapp.
It can support animated emotes (there's only a handful of these) and I update them for the Halloween and Christmas seasons.
There's a minimap dropdown that has a preview of some emotes, but typing an emote as you would on Twitch or Discord with a colon prefix will create a dropdown in your chat that has access to all emotes in the AddOn. This works by using Tab and Shift-Tab to rotate through options, hit colon again to select, or Enter for quick send.
Shift-clicking the minimap also opens a statistics page, where you can see your most used and viewed emotes.
If you see an emote you like and are curious what it was, you can hover over an emote to see its name or shift-click to repost it in your chat.
The Addon functions in all chat channels (except Officer and Communities chat), it even works in mail! This particular mail is part of a MoP questline involving an Orc named Krug - which also happens to be the name of an emote😆!
