Here is the project Description:
Alpha Financial Services is a growing financial institution with its head office in Dubai and a branch office in Fujairah. The IT director, Mr. Ahmed, is responsible for managing the IT infrastructure for both locations. To support the company's growth and improve communication efficiency, Mr. Ahmed is seeking to implement a Voice over Internet Protocol (VOIP) network solution.

The project involves setting up a reliable and scalable VOIP network to enhance internal and external communication between employees at both the head office and the branch office.

Company Information
Head Office (Dubai):
Departments
• Human Resources (3 employees)
• Information Technology (5 employees)
• Administration (4 employees)
• Finance (2 employees)
Branch Office (Fujairah)
Department
• Information Technology (2 employees)
• Administration (2 employees)
• Finance (1 employee)
Project Objectives
The primary objectives of the project are as follows:
Improved Communication: Implement a VOIP network to enhance communication within the organization and with external clients.
Cost Reduction: Reduce communication costs by leveraging the advantages of VOIP technology.
Scalability: Design and implement a scalable network infrastructure that can accommodate future growth.
Reliability: Ensure a high level of network reliability to avoid downtime and interruptions in communication.
Integration: Ensure that the VOIP system can seamlessly integrate with the existing IT infrastructure.
Part1: Written Report
This part is worth 12.5 % of the final grade of the course.
Each group needs to submit a report and packet tracer file (or arrange for a demo with your instructor if you choose real-devices).
The report should include the configuration and verification steps with detailed explanations (a snapshot of the configuration and verification with a brief explanation can be used for the report).
Deliverables
(I) Network Design - CLO 2 (6 Marks)
1.1. Network Design and Basic Configuration
Build an appropriate existing network by considering the given scenario.
Configure basic settings (hostnames, passwords (console, secret, telnet, etc.) on all devices.
(II) Apply VOIP Protocols in the Network Design - CLO 2 (10 Marks)
2.1. CME Configuration
• Configure telephony-service in the network design

(III) Configuration of the IP Telephony - CLO 3 (20 Marks)
3.1. VLANs
• Implement VLANs

3.2. Inter - VLAN Routing
• Configure Inter-VLAN routing
3.3. DHCP
• Implement DHCP servers so that all the device receive dynamic IP addresses.
• Ensure to use configure IP telephony service within DHCP

(IV) Configuration of Call Management - CLO 3 (20 Marks)
4.1. IP Phone Number
• Ensure that all the IP Phones receive a number
• Test VOIP calls within every department
4.2 Configure a VoIP Network with multiple sites
• Configure VOIP services for multiple sites
• Test VOIP calls between the Head office and the branch office
(V) Configuration of Call Management - CLO 4 (8 Marks)
5.1 Codecs
• Analyze the codec used for the VOIP setup.
• How does the choice of codec impact the quality of voice calls, and what factors should be considered when selecting a codec for a specific VoIP deployment? This is theory. Needs to be re-written in a way that has a practical element and relates to the implementation of the VoIP solution
(VI) Evaluate Quality of service by using SLA - CLO 5 (18 Marks)
6.1 Service Level Agreement (SLA)
• Examine the SLA requirements that can be established with the service provider responsible for delivering the WAN connection between the head office and branch office. These requirements should define the anticipated QoS performance, encompassing factors such as call quality, bandwidth, codec usage, latency, and reliability.
(VII) Apply Quality of service and create SLA - CLO 5 (18 Marks)
• Develop the Service Level Agreement (SLA) specifications that can be formulated with the service provider tasked with provisioning the WAN connection linking the head office and branch office. These SLA criteria must articulate the expected Quality of Service (QoS) performance, including key aspects like call quality, bandwidth allocation, codec utilization, latency, and system reliability.
