That actor Steven Yeun, who plays Glenn in the show, knew his character was going to die a year before filming began? Glenn Rhee, played by Steve Yeun in The Walking Dead, is one of the show’s most beloved characters. But since the universe that the show portrays is a dangerous place to be, no character is safe, and sadly this was the case for Glenn. As is often the case with popular shows, the narrative for The Walking Dead was written well in advance of filming. However, Steven Yeun learned of his character’s grizzly end an entire year in advance. Naturally, the actor was sworn to secrecy and he was not even allowed to tell family members or friends about his character’s demise in the show.
