Ysabella is a young girl who dreams of becoming a great cook just like her mother, Rosario. Despite living a humble life, Ysabella and Rosario manage to get by through their popular food stall. One day, Rosario gets in trouble when the police suddenly arrive to arrest her and her fellow street vendors. Although Rosario is bailed out from prison by her boyfriend Norman, she finds out that he had stolen money from his employer, Victoria, who soon arranges Norman’s imprisonment. Unwilling to let her boyfriend suffer, Rosario tries to appease Victoria with a serving of Rosario’s special roasted chicken but it only drives her away.
