Prime Minister Narendra Modi today responded to the no confidence motion in parliament and spoke on the Manipur issue only after several members of the opposition walked out.P
M Modi began by listing out failures of the earlier Congress and UPA governments, despite the opposition repeatedly insisting him to speak on Manipur. But as the Prime Minister continued to talk on other issues, the opposition decided to walk out.
Reacting to the walk out, PM Modi said “running away is a habit of the opposition”Immediately after, he spoke on Manipur and assured the people that the country and the Parliament are with the people of Manipur. He reiterated that the home minister and his government were always ready to discuss Manipur from the start, but the opposition parties did not want it and were only doing politics.
