Buckle your seatbelts for this video.

My first day in Cairo I was walking around downtown by my AirBnb near the very famous Tahrir Square (also known as Liberation Square or Martyr’s Square): remember the 2011 Arab Spring uprisings, looking for a place where I could book a tour to the Giza pyramids.

By chance I ran into Mohammed on the street, got to chatting, and ended up spending the next two days with him exploring Cairo and Giza the first day, and the Suez Canal the second day. On the third day he took my friends around Cairo!

In Giza, Mohammed introduced me to his friends (Wagheed the pyramid tour guy) and Mickey Mouse (the huge five year old camel). I chose the 2.5 hour tour around all the Giza Pyramids, the famous Sphinx, and the surrounding desert, in which I rode Mickey Mouse, guided by Wagheed on a small horse.

I filmed this video while riding the large camel. My right hand gripped my iPhone for the filming, while my left hand held the saddle knob for dear life, while my legs clenched onto the sides of Mickey Mouse.

Quite an amazing experience!!
